Mater Research Student Information Evening

Mater Research invites undergraduate and postgraduate students enrolled in a Medical, Biomedical, Public Health, Epidemiology, Psychology or Allied Health degree to our free student information evening on Thursday 21 February 2019 at the Translational Research Institute (TRI) in Woolloongabba from 5 - 7 pm.

Mater Research is committed to supporting the researchers of tomorrow by providing students with excellent project opportunities with outstanding supervisors. There are currently a range of research opportunities available at Mater Research for students who would be interested in undertaking a short term undergraduate project (Winter and Summer holidays only), Honours, Masters, MPhil or PhD project starting in 2019 or 2020.

The event is a valuable opportunity for university students to learn more about current and upcoming research opportunities, the application process, as well as the chance to meet and network with Mater Research project supervisors, current students and early career researchers. Refreshments and beverages will be provided.

Mater Research is a world class medical research institute based at South Brisbane (Mater Hospital Campus) and Woolloongabba (Translational Research Institute) with projects that run across a broad range of clinical and biomedical research areas including:

  • Mothers’, Babies and Women’s Health
  • Neurosciences and Cognitive Health
  • Chronic Disease Biology and Care
  • Cancer Biology and Care
  • Optimising Acute Care
  • Implementing evidence to improve health
