Congratulations to Professor Claire Jackson who was made a Member in the General Division (AM) for significant service to health reform and general practice medicine in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List.

As the Director of the Mater Research Institute-UQ Centre for Health System Reform and Integration she brings together and develops the work of two Centres for Research Excellence.

“I am thrilled and very chuffed with the news. Our health system needs a much better articulation between primary and secondary care to give Australians the best healthcare possible,” Professor Jackson said.

“It is exciting to see our work in building and evaluating innovative models recognised today. I would also like to thank the Mater for being at the centre of such reform for over 25 years and look forward to the pace quickening with the national reforms ahead.”
