What is the impact of environmental exposures on families in the Queensland Family Birth Cohort Study

The Environmental and Occupational Interactions Theme will use biological samples, demographic data and general health self-reporting information to understand the impact of air quality on families enrolled in the Mater Queensland Family Birth Cohort Study. This theme also has an interest in comparing this data to a Chinese Birth Cohort Study. Specifically, this sub-study of the Queensland Family Cohort will aim to understand: 1. What is the impact of air quality on pregnancy outcomes and respiratory health 2. Are there blood biomarkers in the mother that can help detect the presence environmental exposures 3. Are there similarities between the impact of environmental exposures on families in Australia compared to families in China
