Cystic fibrosis (CF) is characterised by a failure to control ion transport across the epithelial membrane, which leads to the development of thick, sticky mucus responsible for airway obstruction, resistance to drug diffusion and diminished healthy lung function. This project aims to utilise various techniques to develop innovative approaches to look at the properties of CF sputum.
