Professor Michael Kimlin

Advisory Board Member Research Advisory Board

Professor Michael Kimlin is Deputy Provost (Research) at Bond University and an internationally recognised public health epidemiologist with expertise in cancer prevention, ultraviolet (UV) radiation, skin cancer and vitamin D research. He has held senior leadership roles across universities, research institutes and cancer organisations, including Cancer Council Queensland and the University of the Sunshine Coast.

An experienced research and governance leader, Professor Kimlin has built and led major multidisciplinary research programs and is recognised for translating research into policy and practice to improve population health outcomes. His expertise in research strategy, governance and cancer prevention brings valuable insight to the Mater Research Advisory Board.
