Ethics Review Manager (ERM)

ERM is the online platform used for submission and review of all applications to Mater HREC and Mater RGO, as well as for submission of Mater Research Early Phase Clinical Trials Risk Assessments.

Queensland Health and Victoria Department of Health share the ERM platform with Mater. This reduces the number of submissions required on interstate multi-site studies.

All forms and documents submitted via ERM are securely stored within ERM and are easily accessible for future reference by users with appropriate permissions.

All approval signatures from authorising personnel, such as Department heads, are collected electronically within ERM, replacing the need for paper documents.

Training on the ERM system is available upon request.

A new and improved ERM user interface is available as of 14 January 2026, making navigation smoother and everyday tasks faster. There are no changes to the application process.
