Do you have Ongoing Birth-Related Trauma Symptoms?
Delivery of an online and in-person brief psychological intervention following a traumatic birth experience aimed to reduce ongoing traumatic symptoms and mental health symptoms. This study will evaluate participant outcomes and satisfaction with the online and in-person sessions.

Who can take part?
Inclusion criteria
o Birthing parents over 18 years of age.
o Presence of trauma symptoms related to childbirth, identified through self-assessment, clinical assessment or validated screening tools.
o Willing and able to participate in a structured, trauma-informed psychological intervention (delivered in-person at Catherine’s House or delivered online).
o Demonstrated cognitive and emotional capacity to engage safely in trauma-focused therapy, as determined by clinical staff.
o Access to the internet and a device in which participants can complete an online module.
Exclusion criteria
o Birthing parents under the age of 18.
o Cognitive impairment or severe intellectual disability that prevents meaningful engagement in psychotherapy.
o Acute psychiatric instability (e.g., active psychosis, mania) that contraindicates trauma-focused therapy, as determined by clinical team.
o Non-consent or unwillingness to participate in trauma-focused intervention.
o Lack of capacity to provide informed consent.
What is involved for me?
Participants will be randomly allocated to receive the intervention either online or in a focused group in-person. Random allocation means that you will have a 50% chance of being allocated to either the online or in-person intervention
